The halls are decked, the lights are strung, and the scent of freshly baked cookies are wafting through our inns – all in anticipation of your arrival for our annual Holiday Cookie Tour of Inns. In a happy “first” for us, our online allotment of tickets are sold out, but you can still buy your tickets in person at any inn, the Visitors’ Center in the railroad Depot on Centre Street, the Fernandina Beach Public Library, the Chamber of Commerce office in the Gateway Center as you come onto the island, or the resale shop for Micah’s Place – Purple Dove, in Yulee. Tickets purchased in person today – Friday – will be $25. If you’re unable to get your ticket today, you can rest assured that you can still get them at the door tomorrow. The price on the day of the Tour will be $30.
Plan on spending some extra time here this weekend with the wonderfully festive Dickens on Centre event, inspired by Charles Dickens’ novella, “A Christmas Carol”. Carolers, storytelling, Victorian characters, roasting chestnuts, twinkling lights, festive shops, and even a pet parade will greet you this weekend. Mother Nature is even cooperating by sending us some “Christmas Sweater” weather, a perfect low 60’s daytime high. Be sure to join us for one of the best weekends of the year. Visit each of our inns’ webpages for online availability.
