Travel back in time to the era of “A Christmas Carol” during Amelia Island’s Dickens on Centre 2018. The 4th annual return of this Victorian-themed holiday festival is scheduled for December 7th through the 9th, 2018.
Dickens On Centre, inspired by Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” is Fernandina Beach’s annual, 3-day, holiday festival. The event sees a weekend of over 45 events and attractions. Attendees will enjoy festive, costumed characters, entertainment on two stages, Saint Nick, excellent shopping, and so much more.

Live Entertainment on Two Stages – all 3 days
Dickens On Centre 2018 offers a host of live performances! The Wharf Stage (Front and Centre), and the Kate & Monty Stage (next to Amelia Island Coffee) will feature holiday & Victorian inspired entertainment from local and regional performers.
Fezziwig’s Courtyard – all weekend long
All these festivities making you thirsty? Stop by Fezziwig’s Courtyard for adult beverages from Amelia Island’s local distillery, Marlin & Barrel. It’s also an excellent vantage point from which to enjoy the entertainment on the Wharf Stage.
Dickens After Dark – December 7th & 8th, 5pm to 9pm
Dickens After Dark is the new, ticketed program for adults 21 years of age and older. Your ticket includes one complimentary drink, a ghost tour with the Amelia Island Museum of History, and access to three exclusive areas:
• The Ghost Club – Become a member of Dickens’ esteemed Ghost Club and join the ancient Mystic as she guides you through holiday hauntings.
• Tinker-Seeker-StoryWeaver Society – Learn the fundamentals of story telling, then work with fellow guests to weave a unique tapestry of Christmas-inspired stories.
• Gothic Alley – Immerse yourself in a theatrical experience like no other! Visit the grave of Ebenezer Scrooge, dance with the Spirit of Christmas Past, explore redemption with the Spirit of Christmas Future, and help break Jacob Marley’s chains.
Run Like the Dickens – December 8th, 8am
Hold onto your bonnets and top hats during the 2nd annual, Run Like the Dickens 1-mile sprint on Main Beach. Awards given to top 2 overall male and female winners. All finishers will receive a one-of-a-kind coffee mug. More details and registration form here.
